“The Dream Machine are one of my favourite bands. They bridge the gap between pop stars and psych punks effortlessly. Small Time Monsters is an incredible album.” James Skelly, The Coral
“Taut, melodic tunes that lean brilliantly into that classic scally cocktail of psych, garage and guitar jangle… a leap forward both in terms of lyrics and songwriting. Expect great things.” Shindig! 4*
The Dream Machine follow the release of their phenomenal second album Small Time Monsters with news of their biggest ever UK tour.
Following recent support shows for The Coral, The Lathums and The Charlatans, The Dream Machine open for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at his massive Cardiff Castle gig on Wednesday July 17th (alongside The Big Moon). Following that, they will play a hometown album launch party on Saturday 20th July at The Jacaranda Club - ticket and album bundles are available here.
Small Time Monsters is out this week on Run On/Modern Sky. It features the singles Frankenstein and Cindy’s Eyes alongside nine brand new songs, each of them a psychedelic story of everyday life set to the kind of indelible melodies you’d hear blasting out from the milkman’s radio. Small Time Monsters cements the Liverpool band’s reputation as one of the country’s most consistent and compelling young bands. Small Time Monsters was recorded at Kempston Street Studios, Liverpool and was produced by Chris Taylor and James Skelly (The Coral).
The Dream Machine are Zak Mcdonnell, Matthew Gouldson, Jack Inchbord, Harrison Marsden and Isaac Salisbury.
