celebrating words, ideas, and imagination across Sheffield. Slambarz are eagerly excited to invite
you to this highly anticipated evening in our two-day programme.
Join us for an intimate Q&A and celebration of Nina Bhadreshwar. Journalist, writer, educator,
and cultural connector. Nina’s work spans the globe from inner-city LA to UK classrooms. A pivotal
force in inspiring a generation of young people to write, question, and express, Nina’s legacy is
rooted in love for language, music, and social justice.
Hosted by Dom Heslop, one of her former English students from 2006, this special conversation
explores Nina’s journey: from writing and publishing, to working with legendary hip-hop figures
like Tupac, to transforming young lives in the classroom.
